Quilting
I had a few minutes to sew on Saturday, so I decided to get out the RWB strings and make a few more blocks. I really wanted some mindless sewing!

Today, I have a little bit of everything to share with you.
Let's go biggest to smallest quilt.
I have a few more miscellaneous compassion quilt finishes to share today. Over the holidays I got busy and quilted up a number of quilt tops - I am finally finishing the binding on a few.
Someone sent me in a huge stack of colorful string blocks. I was able to sort them into two quilt tops. Here is the first finish I made with them. I know this quilt will bring a much-deserved smile to someone's lips. It is so lovely!
I haven't been that busy with client quilts lately, so I have been working really hard quilting up the tops that were previously sent in by some generous followers.
THINK PINK - This was made up by All Day Sew friends, from gifted PINKS. Some of the sewists wanted to learn a little about QAYGo, and also String Quilting, so many contributed to this project, while learning. This will be donated to our annual Quilt Show. It turned out well and several of the sewists are already thinking about it's purchase!
Kaleidoscope Quilt in Blue made up in a few days, after being asked to present a Trunk Show and lesson, so I wanted something fresh and new.
AND if you've visited me previously, you might notice -- ta ...
read moreWhen Bonnie Hunter was doing quiltcams, she introduced this quilt, as she was working on it. I really liked it, and, started making a few blocks along with her in 2012. It languished in the ufo closet for awhile and then I managed to complete the top in 2017. Then it languished in the "to be quilted" closet until It had a turn as one of my 5 quilts project. I had an empty longarm for a moment, and, now, I have a wonky wishes finish.
It was fun to revisit it, and, all the scrappy fabrics, I used to ...
read moreMy plan for this week was to get out my orange scraps and cut what I need for all of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects. The scrap bin is still on the shelf and all I have to share are some more string blocks. I seem to have a never ending supply of RWB strips right now.
A lot of my interactions with scraps this week was sorting and putting them away.
I did get one lonely string block completed.
The real accomplishment is I finished up the 28 16-patch blocks I needed to finish my Hands2Help Challenge quilt for this year. I was really wanting to make all of the blocks from striped fabric, but I really don't have the time to search for them.
The weather has been beautiful here so I have been busy putting in my vegetable garden and cleaning up my flower beds. Not a lot of new scrap sewing going on.
